The china takes both its name and patterns from the old encyclopaedia "Flora Danica", in which pictures of minutiously detailed copper engravings show the flora of Denmark. Flora Danica is the only one of the luxury china services from the golden age of porcelain which is still being made today. It has been slightly modified but still displays the same love to detail, perfect handcraftsmanship and precision used over 200 years ago. The many embellishments are modelled and crafted by hand. The motifs are also painted by hand and the rims are decorated with 22-carat gold. | |
