Authentic Models Surveyor’s Tripod Lamp Red White
Item Number:  SL015F
Dimensions:  50" Width
25" Height
Description:  Surveyor's tripod lamp. In the 1950's, a surveyor's job was not always a safe one, trespassing on rural roads and in highway traffic. They needed clothing made in bright red and white schemes to make sure they were seen. Or was it because they didn't want to be confused with the highway patrol checking on speeding cars? Whatever the reason, it seems only fitting that we would release this exquisite surveyor's tripod lamp in those classic colors of red and white. The lamps are highly decorative, very cool, and a must have in any eclectic interior. Tripod lamps are already very popular, and a more charismatic one than this banded red and white lamp is difficult to imagine. Like their fifty year old originals, these are made in wood and brass and will survive the ages; Lampshade (cotton, ivory in color) and hardware included; These tripods feature distressed ivory and red colors, to give them that trendy 'used' look.

   About the Authentic Models Company
Every single object fascinated and intrigued. I wanted to be a merchant prince. Which, many years later, is what I did, retracing the steps of Renaissance explorers and traders. Madras, Batavia, Edo, Peking in Marco Polo’s Cathay...commissioning objects from gifted and skilled artisans working in far away lands. Like the Dutch merchant prince four centuries ago, focusing on unique products made with traditional skills. Fighting our culture’s relentless ‘progress’ towards mass produced blandness... One year’s latest may be a hand made reproduction of a 1920s Bugatti playground racer. Next year is a collection of hand embroidered Central Asian wedding blankets. Timeless. Or a Cello Cabinet which looks like it’s straight out of Dali’s atelier. We want to surprise and impress. That’s what we have done for over 35 years, and we will keep doing it. Haring L. Piebenga - Founder AM, Since 1968.
